Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Task Draft collects, why we collect it, how we keep it safe, and the choices you have over how it is used.

Last updated: 19 June 2026

1. Who we are

Task Draft (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Task Draft software platform available at taskdraft.app. We act as the data controller for personal data processed through the Service. You can reach our team at admin@taskdraft.app.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to provide and improve the Service:

  • Account information: your email address, display name, password hash, and authentication metadata such as one-time verification codes.
  • Billing information: plan details and the subscription identifiers required to manage renewals. Card and bank details are handled directly by our payment processor and are never stored on our servers.
  • Content you create: the prompts, inputs, and drafts generated through Task Draft tools, stored under your account so you can return to them later.
  • Usage and device data: log data such as pages visited, features used, IP address, browser type, and approximate location, used to keep the Service secure and to understand how it is used in aggregate.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: we use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure sessions, and limited analytics cookies to measure performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

3. How we use your information

We use personal data to:

  • create and manage your account and authenticate you securely;
  • provide the Service, including generating, saving, and exporting your drafts;
  • process subscription payments and send billing notifications;
  • respond to support requests and account-related communications;
  • protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • improve our features, performance, and user experience.

Our legal bases for processing include performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, your consent where required, and compliance with legal obligations.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the service providers strictly required to deliver the Service, including:

  • cloud hosting and database providers;
  • payment processors that handle subscriptions;
  • transactional email providers used for account and billing notifications;
  • AI infrastructure providers used to generate drafts.

These providers act as our processors under contractual obligations to protect your data. We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on encrypted infrastructure and protected by industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and continuous monitoring. While no online service can be guaranteed fully secure, we work hard to protect your information and review our security practices regularly.

Some of our service providers may process data outside your country of residence. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your information.

6. Data retention

We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

7. Your rights

Subject to local law, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion of your personal data;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • request a portable copy of your data;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, email admin@taskdraft.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Children

Task Draft is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the application before the changes take effect. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
